I bought this for my dorm room to host movie parties and so far it has really been worth the money. It worked perfectly with my Macbook Pro (I purchased a VGA adapter from the Apple store) and Lenova/Dell Windows based PCs. The video quality is really superior for its price and it’s a great buy if you’re just going to watch movies on the wall. This projector is light, yet not flimsy, and following the instructions, it was quick to set up. There are two ports for computers (I needed to project my laptop’s contents), and initially I plugged the cable (VGA, comes with the projector) into Computer 1, which didn’t work, as the projected picture seemed to be stuck on “Computer 2″, which wasn’t receiving changing the settings, so I plugged the cable into the “Computer 2″ port, and it worked. I tried changing the projector from C2 to C1 via its Settings menus, but it wouldn’t change. I haven’t looked into this further. Based on the reviews at this site I purchased the ViewSonic for both home use and small group presentations. I was pleasantly surprised at how easily the connection was made from my MacBook Air 11″ using the Mac Video out connector (purchased at the Apple store) to the projector. From the ease of connectivity and portability to the bright output I am very satisfied with the projector. This projector was selected over other projectors because of the reasonable price point and the impressive features. I was amazed at the overall quietness, sharpness, and beautiful bright vivid projected images. It appears to have the least amount of energy expended for a projector in this class.

I purchased this scanner to scan 35 mm negatives and convert them to jpeg. The color conversion from negative to positive is almost flawless. It does take about 25 minutes to scan one strip of negatives at 2500 dpi–but if you are willing to take the time, the results are worth it. The software is limited: the dust removal works well, but there is no way to turn pictures without using another program. Combining this with Photoshop makes a virtually professional-grade photo processing studio. I wanted a scanner specifically for digitalizing old photos. After scouring the internet for reviews of different products I ordered this and couldn’t be happier! Aside from the high quality output (I haven’t seen any need to further enhance the photos, even though the software is included) I’m thoroughly impressed that I can just place 1-6 photos anywhere on the scanner and it scans them up as individual photos perfectly aligned, etc. I am undertaking a project to scan every photo, slide, negative etc. that we have amassed over the last thirty or so years. My wife has color slides from the 60′s, and we have a lot of negatives that we don’t even know if we have the pictures to any longer. I expect it to take a year to get everything scanned, and who knows how long after that to get it organized.
The software is really very easy to use. I have played around with the settings and came up with ones that are getting me good results. I have been scanning three pictures at a time, which in itself is very nice and a great time saver. I love how you don’t have to put stuff in the corner (origin) but just place anywhere on the scanner and it finds it.

The day I received these in the mail, I was so excited to try them on that I didn’t even notice the defect. So my first impressions were very favorable: cuddly soft around the ankles, durable rubber soles, and a toe box that didn’t cramp my toes together. I imagined my winter expeditions with my dog through snow, on ice, and in puddles (as any/all of these can occur in our winters in southern ohio) while my feet (and ankles) stay dry, warm, and with traction on a variety of surfaces…..However, I didn’t get passed the imagination stage because then I saw that one of the boots came with an eyelet/hook not attached to the boot’s material. I sent them back, asking to make an exchange for a new pair, so hopefully the second pair arrives with no defects. What I was most disappointed in, though, was that the whole return/exchange could have been avoided altogether if someone in the packaging process would have opened the box and examined the boots before shipping them. It’s not like the Sorel box (inside the packaging box) was taped shut; someone could have opened the lid easily and checked the boots, perhaps using some sort of 5-pt checklist for shoes/boots: stitching okay? soles okay? shoe material okay? laces okay? eyelets/hooks okay?, for example. Just got my boots. They are really cute, very comfortable and not too heavy. Great value for the price (got them during an Amazon sale plus my Prime account free shipping). They’ll be really great in cold, wet weather and snow.This boot is fully lined and has warmth and soft easy to walk in. The top of the boot comes up just high enough I would buy these boots for you. They say it’s going to be a harsh winter I’m ready. I think most ladies would like these. Kinda chunky cute-however, the right boot rubbed my heel even with socks. This not did take hours to happen, it was within minutes around my house. Even without that the boot was just to heavy for my taste.

After a fairly significant amount of research we decided to invest in this Elliptical over many others and purchased it through Amazon. The delivery took place on the day indicated and Pilot Delivery was very good giving a two hour window but arriving 20 minutes early.

So, to initial impressions. First off, if your delivery man will take it to where you want it that is a good thing. The box is quite large and unwieldy and weighs nearly 160 pounds. I ended up unboxing and carrying all the bits to where I was setting up. Be VERY SURE to check ALL the Styrofoam for bits and pieces as its tightly packed. You will also need a box cutter or scissors to cut all the tape.

The assembly is actually not particularly difficult and took me around 2 hours on my own. The tools needed are included in the package and every bolt, washer and screw is neatly labeled and packaged. No additional tools were required for assembly and everything fit very well indeed with all bits that needed greasing already done so and protected by plastic Once assembled the amount of physical room required is a fair bit less than other Elliptical machines and runs very smoothly indeed. The resistance levels go high enough to provide a decent challenge for anyone looking to improve their fitness levels. There are a LOT of programs on offer and I have not scratched the surface of the options yet. There is an IMMENSE cup holder on the machine that will fit all but the largest of drinks and a handy place to pop your favorite music player. Below the Music player is a sort of hook that flummoxed me a little until I realized that it actually may double-up as a book rest. I will be trying my Kindle in it to see if it works.

Now, one problem has immediately jumped out. The plastic covers on the flywheel rub the outer casing every so slightly and this causes a very irritating, if not particularly loud, grinding noise. I will be calling Schwinn to ask advice and update when I know more.

I have been very impressed with this Bowflex Machine. It’s been in my home for around a year and it’s showing no signs of wear. My favorite part about this puppy is the convenience–you can do a large number of exercises without rearranging anything (from chest presses to leg lifts). Fortunately, it also takes up relatively little room (except vertically). You just need to make sure the rods won’t hit anything when you actually do the exercises since they bend down and will extend father than the width of the actual machine.

My arms are noticeably stronger than before I purchased it, and that’s without a regular and consistent workout routine. I’m very pleased with the overall performance of this model, and would advise it to anybody (although pros will probably need to purchase the additional resistance rods).

This camera is intuitive in it’s layout and operation. I’m a guy, I operate on the premise, that, when all else fails, read the instructions. Well, this camers has so much going on, I finally did pull out the manual. Before I did that, I did some shooting around the house, both inside and out. Great results, I knew I had made a great choice. A few days later I took it out on trip shooting landscapes, which is what I shoot the most. The 15 to 85 mm zoom was exactly what I needed. I tried the auto modes, and although they do a good job, I preferred using the program mode. I used the landscape picture control. I had shot this area last year, but with this camera and lens, the color, the definition and overall look, was outstanding. When I looked at them on the computer, it looked like I was actually there. The way it cut through the atmospheric haze over the mountains in the background, was impressive. After that trip I started setting up the user controls until I had different setups for every possible scenario I might encounter. The combinations of user assigned functions makes this a great choice for advanced users. Of course, that’s probably one of the reasons that you will buy a camera of this quality.

This is a great entry level DSLR. I have shot all recent canon DSLRs (7D, 60D, T2i, T3i…) and I’m looking for a light travel/casual shooting camera to upgrade my XSI. I thought the T3i was it, but after trying out this camera, I think this is the cam I was looking for. Have the cam for a few days now. The build quality is a little better than what I would expect from an entry level cam. It’s nice and light. The menu is simple but still offers a lot of nice custom settings.

One thing to keep in mind is that the low resolution LCD doesn’t always tell the whole story. My initial test photos look rather ordinary under this LCD. However, when I view them in my desktop, they are a lot nicer. In any case, that isn’t a concern for me as the LCD is just for preview anyway.
